Sarah Baltzinger & Isaiah Wilson

Sarah Baltzinger and Isaiah Wilson have been working together on various projects since 2022. As a duo, they won the XL production Award at Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition with their piece MEGASTRUCTURE.

Sarah Baltzinger has worked as a performer for various choreographers in Europe such as Bernard Baumgarten, Peter Mika, Helder Seabra and Wayne Parsons. Since 2016 she has been developing her own choreographic work. 

Sarah Baltzinger's research questions the impact of our environment and its consequences on our identities. In her choreographic work, she focuses on current socio-cultural issues linked to her generation; identity and its representations, the individual and the collective, symbols, social alienation, our history, the digital revolution and its place in our daily lives.

Isaiah Wilson completed his secondary education at the Lycée des Arts et Métiers and went on to study dance at Codarts, Rotterdam. He did his internship with ICK Amsterdam and later worked with Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company as a guest artist. Currently, Isaiah works as an interdisciplinary artist and recently created a project called “score” for three performers combining dance and scientific innovation.

Isaiah’s work focuses on the ever-changing aspects of the natural world. He is fascinated with the perfect imperfection of nature and how it offers him a sense of harmony as well as a detachment from the material world. He takes a closer look into survival instincts, rawness and complexity; while sticking devotionally to simplicity. Isaiah is constantly in the search for honest ways to share his internal world, reaching for a sense of universal connection.
