Olivia Court Mesa

Olivia Court Mesa is a Chilean-Israeli dance artist whose unique voice is shaped by the triad of influences from the places she has lived—South American warmth, German precision, and Middle Eastern intensity.

Her works are deeply personal, exploring the nuanced interplay between sensitivity and resilience, positioning the body as both a medium for connection and a force for change. Challenging conventional gender roles, Olivia examines how male and female energies can coexist within a single body.

Since beginning her choreographic journey in 2006, her works have been presented across Israel, Europe, and South America, earning her numerous awards, including the 2017 Israel Ministry of Culture Award for Best Solo Performer, the 2022 Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition XL Production Award, Audience Award, and two Partner Awards, and the 2022 Israel Ministry of Culture Award for Best Performance.

She is the co-founder of The Common Body, a platform for developing innovative partnering practices that emphasize real-time communication, playful responsiveness, and risk-taking. A mother of three daughters, Olivia continues to explore how art, dance, and family can harmoniously coexist.
